Bart Stevens, ChLAP, AZCLDP,
founder and executive director of Bart Stevens Special Needs
Planning LLC, has been working exclusively with families
and professionals in the Special Needs Field since 1993.
He has been providing Estate Planning services since 1972.
He is one of the first Special Needs Planners to earn the
designation of Chartered Lifetime Assistance Planner (ChLAP)
from the National Institute on Life Planning for Persons
with Disabilities.
He is a graduate of Fairleigh
Dickinson University, Madison, N.J. and is a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to being a nationally recognized speaker at
conferences that include the National Autism Society of
America, National Down Syndrome Society, National Down Syndrome
Congress, National Spina

Bifida Association, and TASH, he also conducts educational
seminars, provides individual planning assistance, and group
planning workshops throughout the United States.
Bart has written numerous articles for publications including
The Advocate (The Autism Society of America’s newsletter)
and Paraplegia News. He has been a guest on radio
and television shows and has also been interviewed by The
New York Sunday Times (1/9/00); Mature Outlook
Magazine (12/00); Kiplinger Reports (Fall 00);
The Washington Times (3/27/01); The Chicago Tribune
(10/01); and The Arizona Republic (2/17/03).
